Falckenstein in Kiel

Not that nice in summer because the sand is sometimes very stony and the sea is not that great to swim. In winter or autumn you can go for a walk with your dog there. The beach is spacious and you can spend a good two hours walking there. There is also a high ropes course that is open in the warmer months. Definitely worth a visit. You also have a great view of Laboe and the rest of Kiel.

My tip: walk from Falkenstein to Schilksee. There a cappuccino in El Mövenschiss and back again. Unfortunately, depending on the water level, you cannot always walk the entire way along the beach. But you can walk the intermediate section on the beautiful forest path.

A very nice large beach on the Kiel Fjord, everything clean and more than enough space. We were here on vacation and enjoyed the day, every now and then a few nice ships come by. There are plenty of car parking spaces available, you can also easily reach it by bike, we drove 1 hour from Kiel train station to the beach. Just watch your food, the seagulls take advantage of every opportunity

In my opinion still one of the best beaches around Kiel. Easily accessible by bus and car. Parking with the car is now finally free. About time. DLRK is also represented by emergency services, which makes the whole thing safe for small children, among other things. Grilling is also allowed in certain sections. This fact is also very popular. It's a beach for everyone. Kiosks and small restaurants complete the profile of the beach.
